Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
